giovanni singleton is the author of Ascension (Counterpath Press, 2011), winner of the California Book Award Gold Medal, and AMERICAN LETTERS: works on paper (Canarium Books, 2018). She is founding editor of nocturnes (re)view of the literary arts, a journal dedicated to experimental work of the African Diaspora and other contested spaces. singleton holds the 2017-18 Holloway Lectureship in Poetry at University of California- Berkeley.
JOY is part of KPI’s small experiments of radical intentseries: Postcards to the Future: Protest in Place that began during the BLM protests while on pandemic lock down in summer 2020.
