Eva Heisler, Kore Press Author
Eva Heisler is a U.S. poet and art critic based near Heidelberg, Germany. Her poems have been widely published in journals including Crazyhorse, The Indiana Review, The Nation, Otoliths, and Poetry Northwest. Honors include The Nation’s “Discovery” Award and the Poetry Society of America’s Emily Dickinson Award. A Fulbright grant brought her to Iceland in 1997 where she lived for nine years, writing on Icelandic art and drafting the poems in Reading Emily Dickinson in Icelandic.
Jen McClanaghan, Kore Press Author
Jen McClanaghan was educated at Antioch College, Columbia University, and Florida State University. After earning her PhD, she completed a two-year postdoc as resident scholar at The Southern Review, where she edited a special issue on Americana. Her work has appeared in numerous places including The New Yorker, Best American Poetry 2013), The Iowa Review, The Southern Review,and New England Review. Her poetry manuscript, a finalist for the Dorset Prize and the National Poetry Series, was selected by Nikky Finney for Kore’s first-book prize. She is at work on her second collection.
Laynie Browne, Kore Press Author
Laynie Browne (she/her/hers) is the author of ten collections of poetry and two novels. Her most recent collection of poems, Lost Parkour Ps(alms) is out in two editions, one in English, and another in French, from Presses universitaires de Rouen et du Havré (2014). Her work appears recently in The Norton Anthology of Postmodern American Poetry (2013) as well as in Ecopoetry: A Contemporary American Anthology (Trinity University Press, 2013). Her honors include: a 2014 Pew Fellowship, the National Poetry Series Award, the Contemporary Poetry Series Award, and two Gertrude Stein Awards for Innovative American Poetry. She is co-editor of I’ll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women (Les Figues Press, 2012) and is currently editing an anthology of original essays on the Poet’s Novel. She teaches at University of Pennsylvania and at Swarthmore College. Forthcoming books include Scorpyn Odes (Kore Press) and P R A C T I C E (SplitLevel Texts).
