Lydia Davis selected this novella as the winner of the Kore Press Short Fiction contest. Davis says this about the book: “Finally, other contenders were rudely shoved out of the way by the vitality of ‘Nick Trail’s Thumb.’ In this story I found an unusual setting, interesting form, good section titles, arresting specifics, fresh metaphors, engaging insights, believable strong dialogue, and rhythmic prose.
